Henry Patrick Mahoney, 73, of Ashburn, VA, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012, at home. Henry was born Oct. 10, 1938, in Boston, MA. He was a son of the late Henry P. Mahoney and the late Esther White Mahoney. Henry served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1959, and continued to serve his country as an Administration Officer in the Central Intelligence Agency from 1966 to 1990. Following retirement from the government, Henry worked in the private sector for Ogden Allied and Emcor Government Services.

He is survived by his wife Carol Lee Mahoney; five children: Denise Rouch and husband William, Christine Anderson and husband Jon, Michele Solini and husband Joseph, Michael Mahoney and wife Dawn, and Heather Jackman and husband Michael; and sister, Susan Cochrane.

He is also survived by 17 grandchildren: Patrick, Michael, Ryan, Dan Mahoney, Justin, Mallory, Brenna, Dylan Anderson; Rachael, Hannah, Zachary, Grace, Emma, Sarah, Jack Solini; Connor, Benjamin Rouch. 

Henry was preceded in death by his brother Robert Mahoney.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 30, for a memorial visitation at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle SE, in Leesburg.

A funeral mass will follow at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 46833 Harry Byrd Highway, in Sterling.

Interment will be held privately by the family.
