Michael P. Sheehan, 58, of Leesburg, VA, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012. Michael was born June 27, 1954, in Utica, NY, to William M. Sheehan and Louise Murphy Sheehan. Michael attended George Mason University for his undergraduate studies and completed his MBA at the Darden School of Business.

Michael’s career began with the Federal Government and spanned many years of senior leadership roles, including at AAA and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Most recently Michael was a project director for Quadramed Inc.

Michael was predeceased by his father, William M. Sheehan; and is survived by his beloved mother, Louise Murphy Sheehan; his brother and his wife, John and Patricia Sheehan of Morehead City, NC; and two nephews: Jeffrey J. Sheehan of Martinsburg, WV, and Mathew C. Sheehan and his partner, Alexander Perales, of Orlando, FL.

Services and interment will be held privately in New York.
