Advance Auto Parts Opens at Parkhurst Plaza

Today marked the opening day for Advance Auto Parts in Parkhurst Plaza, providing Ashburn a place a long-awaited place to buy parts. Not everyone wants to pay a mechanic to change a lightbulb, windshield wiper or battery. But up to now you had to drive to Leesburg or Sterling for the parts.

Company representatives said they chose the location because it’s convenient to where their customers live and shop, as well as the garages where they take their vehicles.

General Manager Ariel Miner works with 15 other team members at the store. A veteran of the automotive and retail sales industries, Miner has been with Advance for four years.

Besides parts, the store offers a range of free services, such as battery check, and windshield wiper and battery installation. Customers also can drop off used motor oil and batteries for recycling.

“Advance Auto Parts is committed to bringing our promise – service is our best part – to life, not only for our customers, but also in the communities where our customers and team members live,” Miner said. “As part of this commitment, we are pleased to announce a $1,000 check has been donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.”

The store is open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
