Ashburn Figure Skaters Bring Home Medals
Two groups from Team Ashburn placed well at a competition in Massachusetts.
Team Ashburn's preliminary level team scored a gold medal this past weekend.

Two groups of Ashburn figure skaters won medals this past weekend at the 29th annual Colonial Classic Synchronized Skating Competition in Lowell, MA.
Known as Team Ashburn, the skaters represented the Washington Figure Skating Club at the event. The two teams were judged on teamwork, speed, intricate formations and challenging step sequences.
The preliminary team, which performed to music by the Jackson Five, won the gold medal in their division, while the pre-juvenile team won the bronze medal skating to Magic. Five groups from Team Ashburn participated in the competition.
