Ashburn Student’s Collection Nets More Than 100 Bicycles

The bikes will be donated through Bikes for the World, to people who need them.

Briar Woods sophomore and Ashburn resident Michael Dillard’s bicycle collection for Bikes of the World last week resulted in 108 bicycles being donated, more than double Dillard’s goal.

Bikes for the World ships the bikes to organizations abroad that recondition them for people who otherwise could not afford them. The bicycles provide transportation to work, school and health clinics.
