The Briar Woods Girls Swim Team captured a 3rd Dulles District Regular Season title in 4 years, and both the boys and girls finished 2nd at the Dulles District Championships Monday for the second year running.

During the regular, season the girls maintained a perfect record, going 11-0 and bringing their dual meet win streak to 36-0 dating back to the 2008-2009 season. The boys went 10-1 with their only loss coming to District Champion Potomac Falls.

Both the boys and girls had some outstanding swims at the championship meet. Among them were the following top 3 finishes:

• Lizzie Mittan Dulles District Champ in 500 Free and 2nd in 200 Free
• Erica Comm Dulles District Champ in 100 Free and 3rd in 50 Free
• Brennan Maxwell Dulles District Champ in 100 Fly and 2nd in 100 Back
• Annika Saloka 2nd in 500 Free and 2nd in 100 Back
• Veronica Smith 3rd in 200 Free
• Derek Rothrock 3rd in 200 Free
• Annika, Veronica, Lizzie, and Erica 3rd in 200 Free Relay
• Annika, Nathalie, Lizzie, and Erica 2nd in 400 Free Relay
