The weather is warming up! Prepare for a week of fun, sun and symphonies in Ashburn.

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

DINOSAUR PARK
Where/When: Ashburn Park, also known as Dinosaur Park, on Friday from dawn to dusk
Why Go: Ashburn will enjoy a taste of spring this week. Get the kids outside to play on swings, jungle gyms, and trails as the thermostat reaches 70.
Pricing: Free

FAMILY MOVIE MATINEE
Where/When: Ashburn Public Library on Saturday at 3 p.m.
Why Go: The warm weather will end by the weekend. Head inside to enjoy an afternoon family outing watching Alice in Wonderland on the big screen. Don’t forget to bring pillows, blankets, and snacks.
Pricing: Free

LOUDOUN SYMPHONY FAMILY CONCERT "DISCOVERY"
Where/When: Virginia Academy on Saturday, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Why Go: Let a live orchestra and storytellers teach how individual musicians create a symphony. Lively entertainment for all ages.
Pricing: Tickets Advance/Door: Adults $10/$12; Seniors (65+) $8/$10; Youth (18 and under) FREE, but tickets are required.

SCHOOL DAY OFF CAMP
Where/When: Jumping Jack Sports on Monday; half day from 9 a.m. to noon, or full day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: School and some daycares are closed on Monday for Presidents’ Day, but you may still have to work. Day camp offers fitness activities including rockwalls, inflatable obstacle courses, sports and more.
Pricing: $30 for half day (members pay $25), or $60 for full day (members pay $55). Extended care is available. 10% sibling discount applies.

SIGNS OF SPRING (EIGHT-WEEK COURSE) 
Where/When: Broadlands Nature Center on Wednesday afternoons, 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. starting February 23.
Why Go: Plan ahead to enroll your grade school child in this eight-week program about the emergence of spring. Kids will learn through nature walks, games, crafts and science explorations.
Pricing: $40 for eight one-hour sessions
