FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK
• LANSDOWNE “SPLASH-GROUNDS” FINALLY OPEN
Where/When: Lansdowne Town Center near Haagen-Daz in Leesburg, all day, everyday
Why Go: Lansdowne Town Center’s property management apologizes for opening its fountain late. Perfect for these hotter days, this popular, low-key destination is scheduled to be open now. Dress the kids (of all ages) in swimsuits, bring towels and sit back.

• LEESBURG ANIMAL PARK
Where/When: Leesburg Animal Park, Tuesdays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Fridays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Why Go: Get the whole family outside to interact with donkeys, llamas, goats and pigs. View exotic animal exhibits featuring lemurs, African serval cats and zebras. It’s a great zoo in a great location.
Pricing: Adults $9.95; children 2-12 $7.95; children younger than 2 are free.

Where/When: JW Tumbles on Wednesdays, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
Why Go: Let your kids explore this child-themed gymnasium. They’ll love the obstacle courses, jungle gyms, swings, trampolines and more.
Pricing: Free for members; $10 for first child, $5 for siblings for non-members.
• PAJAMA PARTY BOUNCE
Where/When: Sport Bounce of Loudoun in Ashburn on Thursday, June 9, from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Why Go: Time to get silly for kids aged 18 months to six years. Put the kids in modest pajamas and let them bounce around to their hearts’ content.
Pricing: $5 per child wearing pjs or silly socks
• KIDS AFTERNOON OUT
Where/When: Jumping Jack Sports in Ashburn on Friday, June 10, from 11:45 to 2:15 p.m.
Why Go: Take a few hours off and let your kids aged three to six years enjoy their own time. They’ll have supervised free-play, a pizza lunch, crafts, organized games and sports. Pre-register to save your spot.
