LCSO IDs Driver Suspected in Ashburn Hit-and-Run

The driver of a silver sedan reportedly struck a teen near Stone Bridge High School.

 

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office reported this morning that it has identified the person believed to be the driver of a vehicle involved in a Feb. 15 hit-and-run accident near Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn.

The vehicle was turning right onto Claiborne Parkway from Portsmouth Boulevard when it struck a high school student, 15, who was attempted to cross Claiborne. The teenager was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses reported that the driver stopped and spoke with bystanders before leaving the scene. The case remains under investigation; the Loudoun Commonwealth’s Attorney will review it. The identity of the suspect was not released.
