LCSO Investigating ‘Home Invasion’ in Sterling
Four suspects reportedly were involved, two with firearms, two with baseball bats.
Four armed people entered a home on the 21000 block of Gladstone Drive in Sterling through an unlocked basement door and demanded cash from a 32-year-old occupant late Thursday, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
In what the LCSO called a “home invasion-style” robbery, two of the four suspects carried guns, while the other two carried baseball bats. All four suspects wore dark hoodies and covered their faces.
After reportedly obtaining a small amount of cash, the suspects fled without injuring the victim.
The victim’s roommates, who were upstairs at the time of the robbery, according to the LCSO report on the incident called deputies afterward.
Deputies established a perimeter in the area and conducted a search for the suspects to no avail.
