UPDATE: Suspicious Package in Leesburg Deemed Harmless
Residents are asked to stay away from the Shenandoah Building as a precaution.
Update 3 p.m. The suspicious unattended package located at the Shenandoah Building has been determined to be harmless.
Building employees have returned to their workspaces and emergency personnel are clearing the scene, according to a release from LCSO.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious unattended package at the Shenandoah Building in the 100 block of Heritage Way in Leesburg.
As a precaution, personnel from the building have been evacuated and a search is underway. Members of the Loudoun County Bomb Squad have reported to the scene.
Residents should avoid this immediate area until emergency personnel have cleared the scene. The Shenandoah Building is just off Edwards Ferry Road east of the Leesburg Bypass.
