It's all about Loudoun County—at least this year.
With a median household income of $119,000, Loudoun ranks no. 1 when it comes to the most affluent counties in the nation, according to an article on WTOP.
New data from the U.S. Census Bureau shows Fairfax County coming in second with a median household income of $106,000. Arlington County ranks third with an income of $101,000.
The Washington Post reports that despite a small household income decline this year, Loudoun County, with its proximity to the high-tech corridor around Dulles International Airport, has continued to watch its population soar over the past five years.
Just last year, CNN’s Money Magazine recognized Leesburg as the fourth best place to live in the United States.

Ummmmm, we're doing o.k., but, we sure don't make that average income. Leesburg? the fourth best place? Hmm, I don't think so. They must have polled just the people that work for the government.
