The BLVD at Loudoun Station held its grand opening ceremony Thursday, marking the first phase of the first development oriented around one of two planned Metro stations in Ashburn as part of the Silver Line.
Comstock Partners is the developer of Loudoun Station, which is planned for 300,000 square feet of retail space — 62,000 square feet of which just became available — 1.3 million square feet of "Class A" office uses, a 200-plus-room hotel and about 1,500 homes.
The recently opened first phase includes 357 apartments. Studio units start at $1,300 per month. The largest units, which includes two bedrooms and a den, start at $2,230.
Within the retail space, StarPlex Cinemas has already signed on for 135,000 square feet of space for 11 theaters.
If construction is kept on track, the Silver Line is expected to begin serving Ashburn in 2018.
