LTE: Future Opponent Asks Delgaudio to Resign

A potential candidate for Sterling supervisor has requested the current office holder step down during investigation.

Although Eugene Delgaudio presently retains the title of Sterling Supervisor, he is the Sterling Supervisor in name only. He is currently under investigation by a Commonwealth's Attorney for violating board policy, as well as campaign finance violations. He also now has been stripped of all of his committee assignments on the Loudoun Board of Supervisors, a measure Delgaudio himself even voted for – obviously, he is not able to defend his own actions, even to his own colleagues.

The reason that I am running for Sterling Supervisor is because I think the Sterling District has been poorly represented on the Board of Supervisors by Mr. Delgaudio. During his tenure, he has disrespected the residents of the Sterling District, he has disrespected his office, and now, he has even disrespected himself. Now that he is unable to operate on the same level as the rest of the Board of Supervisors, how can he fully serve the people of the Sterling District, or negotiate for the resources that his District needs? Mr. Delgaudio has not done this when the playing field was level, and he most certainly will not be able to do this now.  Therefore, I am calling for Mr. Delgaudio to do what is honorable, and immediately resign from the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors.

Respectfully,

Tony Barney

[Editor’s note: The special prosecutor is investigating alleged campaign finance violations. It would be up to the board of supervisors to take any available action against Delgaudio if board policy was violated.]

I would hope CA Stamos comes out with her results soon as for Board Policy why hasn't there been a hearing already? Maybe that would quell some of the rash rush to judgement by the knee jerk squad. Tony and the Democrats have to wait for due process like anyone else or is it that they are special Stevens?

He runs a hate group against homosexuals. That in and of itself should be ample reason that he doesn't represent all of the residents of Sterling well - like it or not, I'm sure there are plenty of gay folks in his district. Any local politician that makes the Daily Show as many times as Delgaudio has (and consequently made LoCo a national laughing stock) should be re-examined.

The initial investigation started in September. How long must one wait for said due process?

You call it a hate group maybe others call it candid speak.
A supervisor uses their knowledge and talents to represent the people to the best of his/her ability whether they like it or not.
Who cares if gays live in his district.
What's the daily show.
Laughfter is a good thing. Right now I am chuckling.
The investigation actually started in March with Donna Mateer's complaint.
It's in the hands of CA Stamos her e-mail is tstamos@vacao.com. Drop her a e-mail and ask for a update.

LOL Marcus that's the first thing you have ever said that was not written by someone else. Congrats on coming out. I have always assumed your head is up there where the sun does not shine or in the toilet tank and your post is enough proof for me that I am correct.
