LTEs: Support Ballpark at One Loudoun

A couple of readers weigh in on the stadium and encourage supervisors to support it.

As a small business owner since the late 80’s locally, I wanted to encourage our board of supervisors to vote in favor of moving forward with the Loudoun Hounds stadium at One Loudoun. This would be a significant boost to our local economy, which is really needed.

We fully support the Hounds ballpark at One Loudoun. We are so pleased to be able to attend a local minor league ballpark.

Actually I am glad about the stadium discussion because it reminded me to go look at James Earl Jones doing Casey at the Bat. Classic!

Seems to me there is tremendous and widespread support for the ballpark over at One Loudoun.

Isn't the new location of the bright light, loud, rock concert baseball stadium going to be built close to a senior citizen development? I sure they are looking forward to this stadium that was not in the plans when it was approved. But business is business, money is money, and the deal gets done. Play ball! Rock on!

Being able to walk to the ballpark on a Summers Eve, watch a little of America's Pastime -- get away from the TV and the iPad -- see your neighbors, bring the kids, have bite -- all very Americana and more than worthwhile! Play Ball, indeed!

I agree andy but i am not buying a stadium as a econimic engine or the traffic savior that some claim over 2000 offices.
