Parish Packs Firehouse for Taste of Greece
Food dancing, music, a raffle transformed Ashburn Fire and Rescue.
Greek food and culture were on display at The Greek Orthodox Parish of Loudoun County’s A Taste of Greece this weekend. The Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department opened its Founder’s Hall for the three-day event. Dancing music and lots of great food were all part of the festivities. Kids of all ages performed traditional Greek dances, dressed for their parts.
The event marked the third Taste by the parish, which also holds a Greek Festival at its facility on Atlantic Boulevard in Dulles. There’s no charge to attend the festival, so mark your calendars.

Unfortunately, I had to miss the festival this year, but have attended in the past. The food has always been great and the entertainment interesting. Bring the kids to leard about a different culture. Look for the next Festival at the facility and enjoy!

It was my first time attending and I was very impressed. I wish I could have stayed to see the older dancers, too.
