Patch Voters Choose NoVa's Best Burgers
Patch readers across Northern Virginia cast more than 2,100 votes this week to choose their favorite local burger places.
The results of the first week of Best of Patch polling finished on Friday morning, and the big winner around the region was Five Guys Burgers and Fries, which was chosen by Patch readers as the best burger place in six area communities.
But Five Guys wasn't the only winner in this week's poll. Reston voters chose The Counter Burger as their favorite, Fredericksburg voters chose the local Otter House, and Leesburg chose Blue Ridge Grill its favorite.
Other restaurants in each town received many votes, glowing comments from fans and great reviews in the Patch Places directory.
In all, Patch readers across Northern Virginia posted more than 2,165 votes to choose the best burgers in their towns. Below is a summary of the winners and results of polls on Patch sites around the area. Please click on the links to see full results of each poll.
• Leesburg: Blue Ridge Grill won the first Best Of Leesburg Patch poll, collecting 50 percent of all votes with a total of 64. In all, 128 votes were cast in this week's survey.

At 35 percent, doesn't seem as though Five Guys was as clear a winner in Herndon as the rest of the towns...would be nice to know the other places that followed closely too...

Five Guys is so GREASY!! If I am going to eat a burger I want to taste the burger not the grease. I would guess there was limited selection to choose from if there was chains in the selection since Five Guys was in each one.

guess no one has had a burger or fries at BGR in sterling, probably is by far the best around next to Jimmy' Old Town Tavern in Herndon. Five guys is the worst if you appreciate a good burger.

Well, we don't have a Patch in Sterling, so BGR wasn't in the running on any of our polls, but I'll definitely check them out. And hopefully so will a few other readers. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks for all the suggestions in the comments everyone. The polls in the series include places within each Patch town (so within Herndon, Reston, Ashburn, etc.). Unfortunately we don't have a Patch in some of the places suggested (Haymarket, Sterling) so those places weren't included, but it's great to know about them!
