Sunrise Landscape + Design participated earlier this month in the Professional Landcare Network’s (PLANET) day of Renewal & Remembrance.

The Professional Lawn Care Association of America (PLCAA) started the annual event in 1997. PLANET now organizes the event in conjunction with other green industry partners.

Each summer, hundreds of PLANET members donate time, materials and services to help maintain and beautify the grounds of Arlington National Cemetery by planting, liming and aerating more than 150 acres; cabling trees and providing them with lightening protection; and installing irrigation.

This year Sunrise owner Joe Markell eighth year participating in the program. Tom Kniezewski, a landscape management coordinator, and Andy Dannenberg, a field supervisor, also represented Sunrise at the event this year.
