Porter Airlines Lands at Dulles

Canada-based airline begins flights between Toronto and DC April 16.

Porter Airlines recently announced plans to establish flights between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Dulles International Airport, starting with three daily roundtrip flights beginning April 16.

The flights to and from Dulles mark the Toronto-based carrier’s sixth U.S. destination. Porter aims to offer high-end service — including Starbucks coffee and “premium” snacks — at a reasonable price.

“Greater Washington is a region that our passengers have told us is their number one priority for new Porter service,” Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter, stated in a press release. “We expect great interest for both business and leisure trips and look forward to bringing competition to the route.”

The weekday schedule is as follows:

Toronto City                          Washington Dulles

Marie, Sudbury, Timmins, Windsor, New York (Newark), Chicago (Midway), Boston (Logan), and has seasonal flights to Mt. Tremblant, Quebec, Myrtle Beach, SC, and Burlington, VT.
