Readers' Choice: Wineries

Grapevines are a common site in Loudoun these days. Do you have a favorites vineyard?

Update: You nominated the best wineries in Loudoun County, and now, three have moved on to the voting round of Patch's Readers' Choice 2012.  Here's your chance to put your money (er — vote) where your mouth is.

Cast a vote to help crown a winner.  Voting opens July 23 and continues through 11:59 p.m. Aug. 17. Only one vote per user — tell your friends and family to log on to pick their favorite, too!

Original: When driving around western Loudoun, you’re just as likely to run across fields of grapevines as horses these days. Turns out the county’s not such a bad place to farm grapes. And attached to those grapesvines are wineries that draw tourists and contribute a share to the agricultural economy in the county. Whether stocking the bar or trying a sample of something new, do you head to the wineries for your needs? If so, who's your favorite?

Ashburn Patch previously ran a series by Mike Conway called the Virginia Wine Profile many of the county's wineries.

We’ll keep accepting nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we’ll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.

All you need to do to nominate a business is to add it in the comments below. If you already see the business you want to nominate, make sure to add your comment about why it should be included, because we may not be able to add all businesses to our poll and we want to make sure the top ones make it into the poll.

Check out the other Readers’ Choice categories in Ashburn Patch and Leesburg Patch, too.

Thanks in advance for your participation.

And don’t forget to sign up for the Ashburn Patch Newsletter or the Leesburg Patch Newsletter to find out when voting starts so you can support your favorite business and see who wins.
