Save major moolah on future home renovations and help build a home for an area family in need when you shop at Loudoun Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore in Purcellville. The 23,000-square-foot facility, which opened April 18, 2009, is filled with new or nearly new home renovation items.
From pipes and paint to furniture and appliances, the savings are impressive – 50 percent to 90 percent below retail. Other items for purchase include cabinets, windows, doors, lighting, lumber, molding and electrical supplies.
“We have lots of people coming in who have never heard of the store before and are amazed when they find the place,” said Luca Dowd, assistant manager. According to Dowd, he would like the store to be more well-known to college-age kids because they could furnish their first dorm rooms or apartments with items from ReStore.
According to ReStore’s Web site, all the materials for sale are donated by local businesses, building contractors, suppliers and individuals.
All proceeds go to help Habitat for Humanity's work constructing affordable homes in Loudoun County. When you shop at the ReStore to renovate your house, you’ll be helping a family realize their dream of home ownership. Now that’s a win-win.
Loudoun Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore is located at 751 E. Main St in Purcellville. Store hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The phone number is 540-579-4508. If you wish to donate items and/or volunteer, visit the Web site listed above.
