Wrestling: Ashburn Duals at Broad Run

Ashburn’s high schools and another guest from South Riding vie for top local honors in the Honda of Dulles Ashburn Duals tonight at Broad Run High School.

The event includes a silent auction with items ranging from Redskins memorabilia autographed by Chris Cooley to passes to Raspberry Falls and Meadows Farms golf courses. A flier distributed for the event lists jerseys, hats, footballs and other Cooley items. In addition, Nancy Cooley, Chris’ mom, will serve as celebrity scorekeeper.

The “Wrestle for the Cure” event benefits The Cooley Foundation and The IIIB’s Foundation.

On Jan. 24, Viva Loudoun highlighted the competition between Freedom and host Broad Run after both teams finished 7-1 at the Cheers Sports Vikings Duals at Loudoun Valley High School over the weekend.

Tonight’s competition begins at 6 p.m. (although, a note on the attached flier indicates it could begin at 5 p.m.). The tentative schedule is as follows:
