Family-owned and Operated Automotive Maintenance Provider Hosts Blood Drives at

Ashburn/Dulles and Centreville Facilities; A Free Oil Change for A Pint of Blood

(Fairfax, VA – July 26, 2012) – Virginia Tire & Auto (www.vatire.com), the Fairfax-based leading full-service provider of automotive maintenance, repair and tire services, is pleased to announce a partnership with Inova Blood Donor Services (IBDS) as it hosts a blood drive on Monday, August  27 from noon-6 pm at the Ashburn/Dulles (44285 Ice Rink Plaza, Ashburn, VA) and Centreville (14611 Lee Highway, Centreville, VA) facilities. Customers who donate blood will receive a voucher for a FREE oil change at any of its 11 locations (or $30 off any service).

“Virginia Tire & Auto’s partnership with Inova Blood Donor Services is an opportunity for us, and our customers, to give back to the community and help to ensure there is a safe and adequate supply of blood available,” said Julie Holmes, Vice President, Virginia Tire & Auto. “We are happy to be coordinating a blood drive at our facilities; this is a vital program that allows Virginia Tire & Auto, and its customers, to be a part of the IBDS life-saving team.”

“We are thrilled to partner with Virginia Tire & Auto for this community outreach program; partnerships with community members are vital, as IBDS collects approximately 60-70 percent of its blood from local blood drives,” states Brenda Tingen, Account Manager, Fairfax County, Inova Blood Donor Services. “With the Labor Day holiday weekend approaching, we encourage donors to donate, especially O types, so we have an adequate inventory of blood supplies for emergencies that are typical of a holiday weekend.”

Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins will are welcome at the two Virginia Tire & Auto facilities:
