Meaningful Festivals Everywhere - Two Universities

I came across the news about George Mason University's WAVES (Wellness, Alcohol, and Violence Education and services) program via one of the WAVES events for GMU students. According to information on WAVES website waves.gmu.edu, the program helps students develop and maintain healthy lifestyles through one on one support, and interactive programs and resources.

Apart from GMU's own festivals and events for its students, the sprawling campus opens itself for the general public as well. My last visit to GMU - FairFax Main campus was during the 2012 Asian Festival in which I had a chance to witness the magic of couple of "Art of Living" www.artofliving.org Faculties who were able to conduct a brief "Yoga and Meditation" session for the casual audience assembled for this Meditation Session. Offering its campus to host such diverse multi-cultural events for general public to share participating group's unique music, cultural performances, food, fashion and other handicrafts sets GMU apart as a host for several happy events including this Asian Festival that had an estimated 50000 people attending it over that weekend.

Another sprawling University Campus I could think of immediately is one where I studied in greater Chennai area called SRM University - srmuniv.ac.in
SRM is now considered as the No.1 University in India by many and the social club there had recently joined in a thrilling festival themed "Joy of Giving Week" http://www.srmuniv.ac.in/node/8430
