Through out March, Team Ashburn will be holding auditions. Team Ashburn is a nationally ranked, US Figure Skating Synchronized Skating team representing the Washington Figure Skating Club. Team Ashburn has developed one of the most comprehensive synchronized skating programs on the East Coast for skaters of all levels, aged 5 to 18. Director Jenny Cherry states, "We pride ourselves in offering many different programs to help our skaters become successful athletes as well as outstanding individuals."
Team programs include formal dance training at Ashburn Academy of Dance, conditioning and strength-training with Inside Edge Strength, and sports psychologist workshops for the highest-level teams. The Team Ashburn coaching staff includes experts in ice dance, theatre on ice and choreography. The team welcomes commuter skaters and have practice schedules that can accommodate those traveling from out of the area.
