VA-USA Karate Spring Invitational and Food Drive

Williams Martial Arts & Fitness (WMAF) will be hosting its third annual karate tournament on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at their facility located at 43930 Farmwell Hunt Plaza, #126, Ashburn, VA. Doors open at 8:00 AM and the events commence promptly at 10:00 AM. Participants can compete in Kata (form), Kumite (sparring), & Kobudo (weapons). 

Owner Clinton Williams, eighth degree black belt, has won several national karate championships, and produced hundreds of champions in his more than 40 years of teaching karate; 24 years in Loudoun County. ”I remember each of my champions and am always proud of the dedication and efforts these athletes put forth to become a winner. I am looking forward to discovering the next champion that will walk through our dojo doors”, says Williams.

Williams brought his karate program to the Ashburn Sports Pavilion in 1990. As the program grew, Williams expanded his business to their current location on Farmwell Hunt Plaza in 2000. Williams has served thousands of families in the Loudoun County area, and believes in showing his appreciation for their support through contributions to area schools and various causes. In this vein, WMAF is asking families to donate cans of food in lieu of the spectator fee for the tournament WMAF has donated more than 3,500 lbs. of food to Loudoun Interfaith Relief. Each month, thousands of families in Loudoun County rely on emergency food assistance in order to put food on their table. Williams believes we can all make a difference in a child’s life.
