Nun-to-Be Facing Murder Charge, Redskins Talk, Yellow Brick Road, Sex Trafficking, Reston's Future and One Remarkable 10-Year Old is College Graduate
Our lead today is the strong, smart and beautiful Gabriella Miller.
In one of the sweeter stories you'll ever come across, Gabriella Miller, all of 10 years old, accomplished an impressive task Oct. 11 as she graduated from Shenandoah University.
The ceremony marked the third of three wishes made by the young girl –who was diagnosed about a year ago with an inoperable brain tumor – through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
While this may sound like the beginning of a tear-jerking story of pain and loss, Gabriella’s comments as she earned her bachelor's degree just may make you laugh. (If you don't believe it, see the video.)
This remarkable little girl's story is the lead in our daily digest of news of note from across our Patches in Virginia and Washington, DC. Her story, and more, below.
