AYFL ‘Pink Out’ Benefits Ashburn Resident

Players and families are encouraged to wear pink Saturday to support breast cancer awareness.

Ashburn Youth Football League has planned its first PINK OUT on Saturday, Oct. 13. The league has encouraged all players and families to wear pink to support breast cancer awareness. Cheerleaders will be collecting donations at each game and selling pink lemonade.

All proceeds and donations benefit Malea Kanoho, the wife of league football coach Jason Kanoho. Malea suffers from Stage IV Metatastic Invasive Carcinoma Breast cancer that has spread to nearby lymph nodes, her lungs and her bones. For more information or to make an online donation, please go to www.savemalea.org.
