Declutter for the Divineys II Is Coming

Clear out your closets and help a family the community has adopted as its own.

Got some great yard sale goods, but not the time or energy to hold your own yard sale? Why Declutter for the Divineys?

Organizers will be accepting items at the vacant Bloom at Village Center at Belmont Greene from Sept. 15-23. Donations may be left from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

The sale is set for the following week from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Bloom. Organizers have planned a festival-type atmosphere with face painting, balloon animals, food, raffles, music and more.

Anyone interested in making a corporate donation, or donating a raffle prize, can send and email to declutter4ryan@gmail.com. Ryan Diviney was a student at the University of West Virginia when he was attacked and left requiring the constant care of his family. Learn more about Ryan on the Ryan's Rally website.

Delhaize America, the parent company of Food Lion and the former Bloom, donated the space at no charge.
