Dominion Trail Mix Saturday at Farmwell Station

The day consists of a trio of events along the trail and then a concert by American Idol star in Ashburn.

Dominion Virginia Power and its co-sponsors have planned the second Dominion Trail Mix from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, with events along the W&OD Trail and concert at Farmwell Station Middle School in Ashburn.

The event aims to raise awareness about the trail, perform a cleanup and get more kids involved in outdoor activities. Proceeds benefit the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority’s Nature Nuts program.

Trail Mix consists of three events:

  • Hail the Trail: More than 300 volunteers will clean up the trail from Arlington County to Loudoun
  • The Great Skedaddle: A walk/run/bike event along part of the trail in Loudoun for all ages and fitness levels
  • Anthem Presents Trailfest and the Living Well Expo: A FREE celebration, with food, fun and a special performance by American Idol superstar Lauren Alaina.   

The event will take place rain or shine. Sponsors include Dominion, the Greater Washington Sports Alliance, Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority, Loudoun County Public Schools and Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
