Have You Seen Nori? Ashburn Community Searches for Blind, Diabetic Dog

Searches for family pet organized this Thursday, Saturday.

The Ashburn community is joining forces to help a family search for their dog Nori, a blnd, diabetic Bichon Frise who has been missing since last week.

The group "Search for Sassy," along with the family, has been putting up flyers and trying to spread the word for days. The dog needs regular doses of insulin, which it has gone without since it went missing.

Nori has a black collar with tags and has a microchip, but the family said trying to find the dog using a PetTracker has been unsuccessful.

Search for Sassy and other community members have stepped forward to offer a $250 reward if Nori is found.

Volunteers will be gathering for searches Thursday and Saturday near the family's home, on Katie Leigh Court in Ashburn.

Thursday's search begins at 5 p.m. at  43236 Katie Leigh Court, Ashburn.

"We need all the help we can get," one organizer told Ashburn Patch. "This family lost their other dog of age 2 weeks ago and it is my mission to bring little Nori home."
