Help Ashburn Finalist Win $500,000 Dream Dog Park for the Community

Local resident Sara Davey entered the Beneful contest and is among 14 in the final round; vote by Dec. 5.

Ashburn resident Sara Davey and her canine friend Remington need your help. And your help just may pay off for your dog, too.

Davey is one of 14 finalists in the Beneful Dream Dog Park Contest. Participants answered the question: “If you had $500,000 to create a Dream Dog Park where you and your best buddy can play together, what would you do?”

The grand-prize winner receives $10,000 in cash and a year’s supply of Beneful dog food. In addition, their ideas will be used to renovate a dog park in the area – the local dog park in Ashburn is in Brambleton.

Davey’s design called for four sections based on the seasons. Check out her entry video.

To help Davey win, go to BenefulDreamDogPark.com and cast a vote for her video entry. The public vote accounts for 30 percent of the total score. The remainder of the score will be based on judging by the Beneful Dream Team – designer Nate Berkus, who will help with the renovation, contractor Jason Cameron from DIY Network’s “Desperate Landscapes” and “Man Caves,” and pet expert Arden Moore.
