Help Mali Thai Help Ryan Diviney

Local business plans yearlong fundraiser for Ashburn family.

Mali Thai Cuisine, in the Broadlands shopping center, will kick off a fundraiser for Ryan Diviney Sunday that will help the young Ashburn man’s family continue his medical care.

Diviney was left in a coma-like state after a group of young men attacked Ryan and his friends while he was attending West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV.  He requires constant care from his family and the Ashburn community has tried to find ways to help. Besides the Mali Thai fundraiser, the recent Declutter for the Divineys event in Belmont Greene also helped the family.

On the 21st of each month for the next year, starting Oct. 21, Mali Thai will contribute 15 percent of its profits to the Diviney family. The fundraiser ends Sept. 21, 2013, Ryan’s birthday.
