Memorial Day Magic

Here's this week's list of fun-filled events for the family.

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK


Where/When: in Ashburn on Thursday, May 26, at 6 p.m.
Why Go: Find out more about the Ashburn Robotics team that just won “1st Place Robot Design” in First Lego League World Festival 2011.
Pricing: Free


Where/When: Sterling Community Center on Friday, May 27, at 6 p.m.
Why Go: Bring the whole family to watch The Jungle Book. There will also be crafts and activities to enjoy. View page six in the SCC Newsletter for more info.
Pricing: $6 per family


Where/When: Ashburn Farm Association on Saturday, May 28, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Why Go: Take the whole family to enjoy food, rides, a moon-bounce, face-painting and a huge slide. Then, hunker down on your blankets to watch the fireworks.
Pricing: Free (Food is available for purchase.)


Where/When: Cookology at Dulles Town Center on Sunday, May 29, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: The whole family (kids aged 7-12) will work together to create a menu of tasty summer foods. Registration required.
Pricing: $25 per seat


Where/When: in Ashburn on Monday, May 30, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Why Go: What better way to celebrate Memorial Day than letting the kids (aged 18 months and older) bounce themselves silly?
Pricing: $10 per child (24 months and older); $6 per toddler (18-23 months); siblings receive $2 off.
