Why Go: Beat the heat and break in the area’s newest movie theater. Cobb Theater will feature a free kids show every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning. Enjoy Yogi Bear this week.

Where/When: Loudoun County Fairgrounds in Leesburg on Wednesday, July 27, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Why Go: The Loudoun County Fair, running from July 25 - 30, features attractions, carnival rides, animal exhibits, vendors and crafts. Be sure to stop by Wednesday for a fun-filled day of donkeys, fire fighter training, BMX bike shows, horses and lots more.
Pricing: Weekly pass: $25 for adults, $10 for kids ages 6 to 12, free for kids under 6. Daily pass: $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6 to 12, free for kids under 6. Children under 15 are free on Children’s Day until 4 p.m.

Why Go: The rain and dangerous heat are supposed to be over by Friday. Bring blankets and settle the family down for a viewing of Rango outside.
