Goodbye, fuzzy images of Bigfoot. Hello, high definition images of Bigfoot … well, it's something, and it's purportedly on Virginia's Intracoastal Waterway.

The pictures were posted to YouTube by user "Randy O'Neal," along with an involved story of O'Neal's first interaction with one of these monsters 25 years ago.

According to the text in the video, the new picture was snapped June 28 by O'Neal's father. As of July 3, the video had been viewed more than 650,000 times in four days.

Text in the video reads, "Feel free to pause, copy, zoom, dissect or whatever you need to do to prove this fake."

Crazy? Well, this isn't the first sighting of Bigfoot in the commonwealth.

Unless they capture one and do DNA on it, I will remain skeptical of them. I know from experience that Virginia has a lot of military guys who have an amusing sense of humor. They would think it was funny to dress up in a costume and prank the locals. Reminds me of all the Jersey Devil stunts that have been found to be hoaxes. DNA or it didn't happen!

It's a black bear. Jeez, get a grip. I was camping on a rainy night once in a remote part of the Adirondacks. Three of us sitting around a camp fire that my friend built, demonstrating the rain-proof fire that he learned how to build as a Boy Scout. Something large started rustling in the bushes to the side of the tent, but we couldn't see anything. I stood up, shined a flashlight in that direction, and whatever it was took off very fast, going behind the tent and heading for the lake. It went through anything that was in its way, with lots of snapping of bushes and saplings. Then a big splash as it hit the water. We never for a moment thought Bigfoot, nor Loch Ness Monster. Probably a curious bear, possibly, but unlikely, a moose. No freakin Bigfoot. I have a series of photos, the first of which is not much unlike the one in the video of a big black thing, and it was obviously a bear. It turned around and took a look at me. I got a nice photo of its face looking right at me. Then it turned its back on me again and went back to eating berries. What this guy posted is a bear's back and ass.
