Pancakes and Rock Walls and Plays! Oh My!

Here's this week's list of fun-filled events for the family.

Take the family to local theatrical productions and have fun for charity.

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK


Where/When: on Thursday, March 31; Friday, April 1; and Saturday, April 2, at 7 p.m.
Why Go: Go see the Belmont Ridge PTSO’s theatrical, junior version of High School Musical, the Disney Channel Original Movie. 
Pricing: $8 in advance, $6 at the door.


Where/When: on Thursday, March 31; Friday, April 1; and Saturday, April 2, at 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, April 2, at 2:30 p.m.
Why Go: Black Forest Productions presents the classic tale of The Wizard of Oz.
Pricing: Children $5, Adults $7. Cash or check only.

JUMP FOR JAPAN
Where/When: on Friday, April 1, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Why Go: Set the kids loose on 70 feet of inflatable obstacle courses, rock walls, cargo nets and more. All of the profits from this evening will benefit Save the Children and their efforts to help kids in Japan.
Pricing: $10 for the first child, $8 for siblings, $6 for siblings 18 months to 2 years.


Where/When: on Saturday, April 2, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Why Go: Teach your children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety. Children ages 5 to 12 receive a newly constructed project kit and a kid-sized orange apron.
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: in Ashburn, Sunday, April 3, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Why Go: Fill your kids with a tasty breakfast of pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Then wander around the firehouse during this monthly fundraiser.
Pricing: Kids younger than 3 are free, kids ages 3 to 8 are $4, seniors pay $5 and adults are $6.
