Ringing In Hope on Memorial Day in Brambleton

The run/walk fundraiser benefits charities that serve the military and their families.

Get your Memorial Day started early Monday with the Ringing in Hope Walk, Run & Fun event at Brambleton Town Center in Ashburn.

The family friendly event benefits charitable organizations that serve men and women in the military and their families.

Pony rides, a barrel train ride, face painting, children’s art, temporary tattoos, raffle prizes, music, moon bounces and more are planned at the town center, beginning with the 5K race at 8 a.m.

The “Bells of the Fallen” will also be on display at Ringing in Hope. The Bells are in recognition of men and women who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation New Dawn, and are part of the Bells of Remembrance Project.

This year’s race benefits the Fisher House Foundation, Operation Gratitude, the Wounded Warrior Project and Special Forces Track Club.

Registration is available online until 11:59 p.m. May 25 at www.ringinginhope.com or get a forms at Packet Pickup locations (5/24 from 4 pm - 7 pm at Potomac River Running in Leesburg; 5/25  from 9 am – 12 pm at the Brambelton Sport & Health; Race day registration 6:00 am at Brambleton Town Center on Main Plaza.) Race/walk participants can designate race registration fees to the participating charity of their choice upon registering for the race.
