Santa and Frosty Visit Ashburn Sports Pavilion

The Ashburn Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department led the holiday symbols on a tour of the community.

Look kids! It's Santa on his sleigh with his reindeer leading the way! No, wait ... that's the (AVFRD) giving the reindeer a break and letting Santa spread holiday cheer throughout Ashburn by riding on the back of the big yellow fire truck with Frosty!

For the second year, the hosted the Santa Procession. Fire trucks, ambulances and other rescue vehicles from the AVFRD led the way as Santa rode through the streets of Ashburn and arrived at the Sports Pavilion to greet excited children.

While waiting for Santa's arrival, residents enjoyed Christmas caroling, free hot chocolate and donuts, and the winter wonderland decorations on the Pavilion lawn.

Residents can help the Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter by taking new unwrapped gifts or gift cards to the pavilion, 20585 Ashburn Village Boulevard, through Dec. 12. This is the fifteenth year the sports pavilion has collected gifts for the shelter.
