Strange Lights Prompt Queries of UFOs Over Ashburn

Strange lights on New Year’s Eve might not catch everyone’s attention, but one Ashburn man grabbed his mobile phone camera after spotting some odd lights fading in and out in the evening sky.

ABC News 7 reported on the video Chris Smith recorded that night.

“You couldn’t help but see it in the sky, that bright,” Smith told ABC. “Once the two came on there was three, then there was four and then five.”

He called his kids to see the lights, too.

“I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” Markus Smith told ABC.

His sister, Summer, said, “It was cool and kind of scary.”
