Sunny Skies Held Sunday for the Ashburn Fire Station Open House

Ladder truck rides, hose spraying and a rescue dog demonstration were among the many activities.

held its spring open house Sunday, with great weather holding until after the early afternoon event ended. Lines to ride the fire trucks stretch around the parking lot, even with multiple engines running.

The Virginia Search and Rescue Dog Association provide demonstrations of their skilled canines, while the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office provided a safety and identification station. Fire and rescue volunteers tore the roof off of car demonstrate their ability to remove an injured person from a vehicle.
