Bands to Battle It Out at Brambleton for Spot at YouthFest

Want to help pick the teen bands and singers who will perform at YouthFest in June? Just head out to Brambleton Town Center Saturday, May 11, for the Loudoun County Battle of the Bands.

Each year, the Loudoun Youth Advisory Council – comprised of representatives from each public and private high school as well home-school community – organizes YouthFest and holds a Battle of the Bands to select the live music acts for YouthFest’s main stage. After three preliminary battles, the final takes places Saturday.

Loudoun Youth Inc. assists the council coordinating the event, which draws 2,500 – 3,500 people each year. Besides putting a spotlight on local youth musical talent, YouthFest provides introduces Loudoun teens to local nonprofit organizations, which receive free exhibit space.

The final battle, which is open to the public and costs $5, takes place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Brambleton’s amphitheatre.
