Beer, Bordeaux on Tap this Weekend

Here are some highlights from this weekend's calendar.

Go ahead, you deserve it. Call the sitter and get out of the house for a weekend of art, great local fare and maybe even a few cocktails. Why Go: Be the first to see the gallery's newest showcase of paintings by Laney Oxman and sculpture by Elissa Farrow-Savos and tell the artists what you think - in person!

Where/When: RFK Stadium Festival Grounds, Saturday, March 12, 12:30pm-9:00pm
Why Go: This annual celebration of Irish heritage and beer drinking features nearly 50 bands and DJs on 10 stages, food, carnival games and more. Did we mention beer? Also, check out in the VIP Acoustic Tent.

Where/When: Unitarian Universalist Church of Loudoun, in Leesburg, Saturday, March 12, 8:00pm
Why Go: Looking for something more low key? This venue offers a coffeehouse atmosphere, which talented musicians like Hot Soup treat like their own living room.

4. COURSES TO CURE AT GRANDALE FARM
Where/When: Grandale Farm restaurant, Purcellville, Saturday, March 12, 6:00pm-10:00pm
Why Go: Courses to Cure is a dinner benefitting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Four local wines will accompany the enticing fare from this family-owned establishment known for featuring locally grown produce and meats. See menu here.
