Cashmob for MISGUIDED ANGELS in Brambleton

Since the summer of 2011, there have been successful "Cashmobs" going on all around the country to thank locally owned businesses for their hard work and for their positive contributions to local communities. The media seems to be calling "Cashmobs" the anti-Groupon because people are showing up at small business locations not to get a deal, but solely in support of their local businesses.

In each city, the rules are tweaked to suit the needs of the business, but the basic principle is that thankful locals use social media to ask their friends to attend the "Cashmob" at a favorite local business at a specific time. Participants show up and agree to spend a certain amount (usually $20) during the "cashmob" visit.

It's a simple concept that takes little time on the part of the participants, but showing thanks both with a simple nod and monetarily can mean so much to the hard working business owners.

There is a "Loudoun Cashmob" event for MISGUIDED ANGELS in Brambleton on National Cashmob Day, March 24, at 10:30 am.
