Loudoun VA Bed & Breakfast Guild Open House Tour

The Loudoun Bed &Breakfast Guild Annual Open House Tour on Sunday, April 29, 2012 from 1-5 pm is a FREE event suitable for the whole family. Take a self-guided tour along some of the most scenic roads in Western Loudoun and visit the ELEVEN charming and historic B&Bs and event venuesparticipating in the tour. Local wineries, restaurants, and caterers will be providing tastings at the various B&Bs and event venues.

Loudoun County is located about 35 miles west of Washington DC in the heart of Virginia’s Horse and Wine Country. The area is also known as DC’s Wine Country, Loudoun County, and now boasts more than 30 wineries, historic towns and villages, civil war history and interesting attractions.

Participating local wineries include Above Ground Winery, Hiddencroft Vineyards, North Gate Vineyard, Crushed Cellars, Catoctin Creek Winery, Lost Creek Winery and Twin Oaks Tavern Winery. Locally based organic Italian wine importer, Il Pioppo Selections will be doing a tasting and Loudoun’s very own Catoctin Creek Distillery will be on hand at Montrose Farm B&B.

Participating local restaurants include Magnolias at the Mill, Grandale Farm Restaurant, Tuscarora Mill and The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm. Gala Cuisine, Rose Hill Manor’s in-house caterer will be showcasing their cuisine at the property.

Harpers Ferry Adventure Center will be on hand at one of the participating properties to give information about their many water-related activities too.

Don’t forget to visit the Art in the Barn show in the lovingly and beautifully restored historic barn at Montrose Farm B&B in Purcellville, where local artists will be showcasing their talents.

Visitors will have a chance to enter special drawings to win overnight stays, gift certificates and other prizes at many of the B&Bs.

The Loudoun Bed & Breakfast Guild will have a booth at this year’s Leesburg Flower and Garden Festival which takes place this coming weekend, April 21 and 22, 2012, so come by and meet the Guild members in person and pick up a brochure for the Open House.
