Print Your Own Book Through Loudoun Library Symington Press
Administrators will demonstrate the new Espresso Book Machine Sept. 21 at Rust Library in Leesburg.
Local authors will have one less excuse for publishing the books they keep telling their friends about once the Loudoun County Public Library unveils its new Espresso Book Machine.
With a demonstration of the new machine, the library will formally launch the Symington Press Sept. 21 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7 p.m. at Rust Library, 380 Old Waterford Road, in Leesburg. The event is free and open to the public.
During the event, special guest and author Melanie Benjamin will present awards to winners of the Write On! adult writing contest. Benjamin is the author of New York Times best seller, The Aviator’s Wife, The Autobiography of Mrs. Tom Thumb; and Alice I Have Been.

The Espresso Book Machine, is a print-on-demand machine that can print, collate, cover and bind a single paperback book in a few minutes. Select from an online catalog of millions of titles or print your own memoir, novel or book of poetry.
The name Symington Press is a tribute to A. V. Symington in appreciation for her $2.5 million bequest to the library system.
