The Laws of Nature

Enjoy a Night of Storytelling for Adults

Throughout time, storytelling has been used as a way to enlighten, entertain, teach, and pass down traditions and history from generation to generation. On Saturday, April 2, the Friends of Reston will celebrate the tradition of oral storytelling by hosting an event, Law (and Suggestions) of Nature, for adults at the Walker Nature Center in Reston.

The Friends of Reston is a nonprofit organization that supports community projects and funds Nature House. Nature House is an environmental education building that is LEED Gold-certified by the U.S. Green Building Council and is a place where people of all ages can learn about our precious natural resources. All proceeds from the event support Nature House and its programs.

Let Laws (and Suggestions) of Nature be a great escape from your own realities as you step into others' – at least for the hour and a half that you are there.  Eight of the DC area's top storytellers will reveal true stories involving fighting against gravity, trying to survive Murphy's Law and choosing to fight when they should have chosen flight. You will surely laugh, cry and cringe.
