Loudoun Co. Home Sales up 19% in December

By: Arcadia at Willowsford

Loudoun County, home to Arcadia at Willowsford, continues to impress real estate professionals and experts in the region.  According to RealEstate Business Intelligence, home sales are up an incredible 19 percent from this time last year.  This adds up to more than a 58 percent increase from just the month before.

Gwen Pangle, president of the Leesburg Downtown Business Association, as well as a Realtor herself, thinks that “we are starting a spring market early.”  Buyers could very well be getting a head start on their home buying process now, before the warmer season brings more competition.  Pangle also notes that buyers could be getting a jump on the mortgage application process, which will soon be modified.

This region is especially appealing for its affluence and proximity to the nation’s capital, so more people are choosing it as their new home.  Because of this area’s popularity, homebuyers might feel the push to find a new home before supplies dwindle too much.  Inventory has already fallen to just three months, proof that this is indeed a hot market.
