Ashburn Farmers' Market Shifts to One Loudoun in September

Come Sept. 6, Ashburn Farmers' Market will transition into its new location at One Loudoun.

The Loudoun Valley HomeGrown Markets Cooperative (LVHMC) and One Loudoun Holdings, LLC announced Wednesday the grand opening of One Loudoun Farmers' Market on Sept. 6.

Currently known as the Ashburn Farmers' Market, the weekly event will transition from the corner of Ashburn Village Boulevard and Farmwell Road to One Loudoun in September.

“We have enjoyed our current location for many years,” said Warren Howell, President of the LVHMC Board of Directors in a statement. “Now it’s time to reach out to more folks in Ashburn and we look forward to offering a more diverse range of fresh products to both our current and new customers at One Loudoun.”

The Loudoun Valley HomeGrown Markets Cooperative (LVHMC) said the One Loudoun Farmers' Market will consist of more than a dozen vendors of fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, artisan baked goods, baby food, sauces and more. LVHMC markets mandate that vendors must grow or produce any foods sold at the Farmers' Market and must operate within 125 miles of Leesburg.

The grand opening will take place Saturday, Sept. 6 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. One Loudoun Farmers' Market will operate every Saturday during those hours through Oct. 2014 and will reopen in May 2015.
