Businesses are starting to pop up at Loudoun
Station, with Burger 21 being the latest to fling open its doors in the
development near one of Ashburn’s future Metro Silver Line stations.
Burger 21 – a creation of Front Burner Brands, which also founded The Melting Pot Restaurants Inc. – has a prominent corner space at Loudoun Station, 43800 Central Station Drive.
“We are very excited to open the first Burger 21 in Virginia,” said franchisee Ray Patel. “My team and I are excited to bring Burger 21’s‘beyond the better burger’experience to Ashburn and surrounding communities.”
To stand out from other burger joints – and Ashburn has plenty of them – Burger 21 offers items such as Tex-Mex Haystack, Spicy Thai Shrimp, Black Bean and Chicken Marsala. In terms of burgers, there are 21 creations. Other items include handmade shakes, gourmet hotdogs and salads. The Ashburn location also will offer craft beer and wine by the glass.
The new Burger 21 is one of 11 franchise locations now open, but is the first in Virginia. There are at least three others planned in the D.C. area and 17 additional restaurant planned across the country. Future locations in the region include Fairfax County and Montgomery County, MD.
“The Burger 21 concept is experiencing tremendous growth and demand for our premium ingredients, innovative recipes and gourmet experience without the gourmet price," said Mark Johnston, Burger 21 president and chief concept officer and president of Front Burner Brands.
Front Burner Brands’Dan Stone said the restaurant management company would bring other brands to the region as well.
Burger 21 is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The 3,200-square-foot Loudoun Station space employs more than 50 people.
